Skystream renews multi-year contract with SES for VSAT network expansion in the Middle East

Leading satellite communications solutions provider SES is happy to announce that its client, SkyStream, has extended its multi-year capacity agreement on SES’ NSS-6 satellite at 95 degrees East to deliver reliable connectivity to its maritime, and oil and gas customers through secure VSAT networks.

Under the terms of agreement, SkyStream will use NSS-6 satellite’s Ku-band capacity in order to provide corporate VPN services across Afghanistan, Iraq and other key countries. This will keep SkyStream customers connected at all times.

In a company statement, SkyStream Managing Director Riyadh Al Adely noted: “We started our business with SES years ago and their services were the first bricks of our expansion and success. We are privileged to work with a professional and supportive partner such as SES. The latest deal with SES reaffirms our continued commitment to provide our customers with premium, cost-effective capacity and will allow us to extend our VSAT business across the region.”

Echoing the statement of Al Adely, SES SVP of Commercial, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East Deepak Mathur said that the renewal agreement acknowledges the partnership between SES and SkyStream that has been going strong since the last ten years. “We will continue to work closely with SkyStream to enable them to grow their corporate networks into new regions," Mathur added.
